Health Benefits of Mangosteen

Did you know mangosteen made the famous Dr. Oz’s top 5 superfood list.

Mangosteen you say? What’s that, like a mango?

No! It’s actually a really cool fruit that was banned in the U.S. until 2007 due to the belief that they harbored the Asian fruit fly! Mangosteen is among the fruits that are known to contain powerful antioxidants that are useful to the immune system and the entire body. These antioxidants contain cell boosters that are referred to as xanthones which contain various properties that have medicinal value. Mangosteen is regarded as a healing fruit which can be used to reverse the effects of diseases that were common, both in the past and today.

The mangosteen has long been valued for its juicy, delicate texture and unique flavor and has been cultivated in Southeast Asian countries such as Burma, India, Sumatra, Indochina, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. It’s a common household tree in Indonesia. It is a tropical plant which needs humidity, rainfall and cannot survive in long periods of drought.

Health benefits of mangosteen include reduced risk of inflammation, cancer, allergies and diabetes. It has antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial properties which help boosts immune system and heart health! This amazing super fruit is beneficial in maintaining healthy skin, weight management and providing relief from stomach disorders including diarrhea and dysentery and menstrual disorders.

This super fruit is rich in water, energy, protein, carbohydrate and fiber. Essential nutrients such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper and manganese are found in this fruit. It contains vitamins A,C, B6 and B12 which are required for maintaining good health.

In regards to inflammation, which many agree is the source of many physical ailments, playing a huge role in many of today’s common ailments, including arthritis, headache, back pain and much more. According to Dr. Kenneth J. Finsand, author of the 2006 book: Mangosteen Desk Reference 2nd Edition: 82 Conditions that Respond to Mangosteen, “This is probably the most famous use of all the qualities found in the mangosteen: it is by far the most powerful anti-inflammatory I have ever seen in 30 years of practice.

Research has proven this to be true, along with folk medicine history.”

(1) Also, the anti-inflammatory properties of mangosteen have been compared in strength to one of the most potent anti-inflammatory prescription drugs, Dexamethasone.

(2) Well, all that’s great, but what does it taste like? According to Fruits, the mangosteen has flavors that taste like a combination of strawberry, peach, vanilla ice cream; it is definitely sweet with a very slight sourness.

(3) It has long been known as the “Queen of Fruits.” . According to the New York Times, in the 1800s, Queen Victoria is said to have offered knighthood to anyone who brought her fresh mangosteens from Asia.

(4) Mangosteen fruits, which are either seedless or have one to five fully-developed seeds and are usually can be two to three inches in diameter. They have a thick rind surrounding four to eight fruit segments, similar to an orange. They are round and smooth, and dark-purple to red-purple in color depending on its ripeness. The triangular segments of soft flesh inside are white and juicy. The well respected Dr. Josh Axe even mentions in an artilcle that mangosteen can improve acne!

(5) And mangosteen makes the famous Dr. Oz’s top 5 superfood list in 2010!

(6) Unfortunately, fresh mangosteens aren’t always easily available in the U.S., but if you’re going to find them, your best bet is an Asian market or Whole Foods. You can also order fresh mangosteen online, but it’s a bit pricey. Luckily, there are some amazing supplements on the market where you can find an easy and delicious way to enhance your body with mangosteen!

CoreAO (antioxidant) boosts your immunity with the most powerful, disease-fighting super nutrients on the planet—Mangosteen, acai, arginine, bilberry, grape seed extract, and catechins.

MLM Hashtags: Copy & Paste

Word Cloud

The #Hashtag Movement has been gaining popularity for some time now with Facebook recently adding it into their bag of tricks to generate interest on particular catch words.  Twitter was notorious for this and Instagram is gaining ground fast! However, I noticed with all the #hashtags out there, there wasn’t one specific site dedicated to #MLM or #Network Marketing.  So I decided to create my own specifically for you, my fellow readers~! I hope you share this and I will do my best to update you as much as possible.

#Dennis Smith

There are two different ways to use #hashtags and tags in general.  One would be the “pound” symbol (#) mostly used for social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.  However when doing blogs, you can also use tags and separate those tags with a comma. Below I will do two different ways which will make it easier to just copy and paste.

Please note the common courtesies with different social media sites and using #hashtags as there are certain, socially acceptable rules you might want to follow.

Top 3 objections in Network Marketing

It’s simple, Network Marketing is tough. I get it! However, I also GET IT…. I get that it takes time, I get that it’s more challenging than going to a 9 to 5 job, I get that it doesn’t become lucrative for a few years (should you get with the right company, but that’s another blog). I get it!! Problem is, most people DON’T! Now that doesn’t mean they aren’t smart enough too, it just means someone, at some point in time, burned them or lied to them or tricked them or just left them hanging.  It happens, mostly with bad leadership and sometimes it’s because the person who started just didn’t get it.

Let me give you a quick run down of a few things I hear all the time when building my Q Sciences business (shameless plug):

1. I am not a sales person

This one, oh boy, this one right here really gets me.  Everyone is a sales person!!! Look at the beautiful woman or handsome guy you are with, you obviously had to peak their interest somehow, that’s a sale! Ok, maybe that’s a little excessive, but what about your favorite movie, book, restaurant, or nail salon? You probably had an amazing experience and was so excited about it, you told everyone (or posted it several times on FB). That is a sale also! Everyone is a sales person, it just depends on what you are passionate about and that goes back to picking the right company.

2. I don’t have enough time

Ahh the dreaded, “I am too busy” mentality. Think of all the hours in your day. How much do you sleep? Do you nap? What about rush hour traffic (to me that is like sprinkling holy water on a vampire, I cringe every time I hear that word)? How about your favorite tv shows that occupy your evenings? The reality of every reality show you watch is you aren’t changing the reality you live in. <<< Huh?<<<  Ok, it might be for entertainment purposes, I GET IT, but still you are wasting several hours a week.

3. I am too broke to get started

Everyone is broke in their own rights. Even millionaires file bankruptcy but in all actuality that is just another excuse.  In my 16 years of experience, I have known hundreds of people who purchased a package with their company, and used that motivation to turn a profit because most packages are at a discounted price.  Think about how may purchases you spend on the credit card that aren’t necessary? What about the extra things you get “for fun” with your paycheck… It’s little items like that, that could be saved up over time.. Heck, what about fast food? Average meal for an adult is between $4.00 and $7.00. Add a family in there and you are running about $300 bucks a month for meals.  If you invested that $300 the first month, you could make it back plus about 10% to 30% more.  Then, you have the opportunity for residual income.  Imagine you made that $300 bucks every month. Who wouldn’t want an extra $3600 a year. Heck that could be a vacation! With Network marketing, they aren’t asking you to put in your life savings, spend 20 hours a day building, and give everyone you know a sales pitch. That isn’t how this business works… It’s doing a little bit, part time, so you can earn a little extra money. Eventually you will be able to earn a lot of extra money but that takes time.

So that is my top 3 objections! I am sure there are several more but these will be the ones you hear the most.  It’s all about helping people GET IT.  Learning that in just a few hours a week, you can hear enough to help your spouse stay home, or stop stressing over the water bill, or finally afford that vacation your relationship so desperately needs!

I encourage you to help those who you bring into this profession. Teach them that it’s not all about making millions because that will turn most of them away. It’s about giving them hope, relief, and a plan for the future.  If you manipulate them into thinking they will be rich beyond their wildest dreams then you are setting them up for failure and heartbreak.  Can they become rich, ABSOLUTELY, but only when they GET IT! When they see the magic in sometimes, then build the foundation part-time, and transition into full-time, that is when they will get it.  That is when they will over come their objections and continue to chip away daily at obtaining their dream!

I hope you enjoy! Please follow feel free to share on FB.

Make It Fit or Let It Sit?

1_puzzle-piece-620x349When you are building a puzzle, you don’t try to make the wrong pieces fit, you keep searching till you find the ones that do! That also applies to network marketing.  Now you probably say, ‘Hey, that’s a little harsh’ and in some cases you are correct but if you truly want to build a business, and be among the 1% of successful network marketers, then you will understand the concept.  You see, too often we, as network marketers, truly want (and I wholeheartedly mean truly want) to help everyone we bring into our business.  They are a piece of our puzzle, YES A PIECE and it is our job to fit them perfectly into our masterpiece.  We listen to their Why and find empathy in their story so we continue to help them.  It’s great in the first few weeks, maybe even months, but at some point in time, that puzzle piece should fit PERFECTLY into the overall design that you, their sponsor, mentor, and leader,  planned for them. Then, all of a sudden, the momentum dries up, their Why becomes clouded, and the amazing passion, story and focus they shared with you in the beginning begins to be covered in doubt, fear, and lost vision.  This moment, right here, is when the puzzle piece all of a sudden doesn’t fit.

In real life, when you are actually building a puzzle piece, you would set that piece aside, should it not fit and search out the one that does right?:? ABSOLUTELY!!! However, in network marketing, we continue to try and put that piece in that spot, that moment, that situation, and what happens when you do that, you begin to focus solely on making that piece work. You begin to lose focus on the masterpiece and focus more on finding a way to “MAKE IT WORK” Well, I am here to tell you IT WON’T WORK!!! Not right now any way… YES they are still a part of the master plan, but if they don’t fit into the plan after several attempts, then it might not be their time. You need to find the piece that fits right now, and continue to build the masterpiece and eventually, those pieces you put to the side will fit perfectly into your puzzle.

Interesting Concept

It’s quite intriguing really if you think about it. Doing a little bit over a long period of time to create residual income. I know, right! Well what do I mean by that? The truth about Network Marketing, MLM, Direct Sales… whatever you want to call it, is that it takes a little bit of effort over a long period of time to consider yourself financially free… WHAT!? Now you might be asking yourself, I thought I could get rich quick!? Cute, that’s cute. NO! It’s not a get rich quick program contrary to all beliefs. However, you can make a significant amount of income SHOULD you decide to put in the time, work, effort, and training in order to develop your skills.  Like the old “Penny” model. You double your penny every day for 30 days. For the first few weeks you don’t see much effort for your hard work (and yes even doubling a penny is difficult) however, after 30 days, that penny has turned into MILLIONS. Well, that is like Network Marketing.  What you do today, tomorrow, the next day all adds up.  It builds and builds and builds into a compounding effect.  Should you stop building, you set yourself back big time! Do the little things daily, no matter if you are doing it full time, part time or even sometime because it’s the consistency that will bring you results. If you want to get rich quick, play the LOTTERY! If you want to get rich over a long period of time and has substantial growth stick with ONE COMPANY and double your efforts daily.

Thanks for listening.

I would like to take a second to welcome anyone who is new to this blog… wait, that would be everyone because the blog itself is new! Hi folks, it’s Dennis Smith, Professional Network Marketer. I am here to tell you the truth about network marketing. Now, does that mean I might, on occasions, invite you to join my team? Heck yes it does, but that isn’t why I created this blog… I have another one for that. You can find it here at in case you wanted to check it out.

I created this blog because I have a lot of great insight when it comes to this profession and YES it is a profession. Some say industry but to me, this profession takes as much dedication, training, advance insight, personal development, education, and discipline like any other profession.  It is my hopes to the reader, (YOU) that I teach you what I learned over the past 15 years in this profession. It’s not pretty and it definitely has it’s ups and downs but my goal is to help mentor you and guide you through those lows and teach you how to accept your success when you get there, because YOU WILL GET THERE…

So let’s go ahead and get this aired out… If you’re the grammar police, you might have an aneurism reading my blogs. It’s ok, I drove my teachers nuts as well. However, I just write. I am kind of a creative writer who tries to put commas in places they don’t belong because someone ones told me to put them everywhere I take a breath when I read… Oh, and I use the (…) a lot. I don’t know why, it’s just my style.  Either way, I am sure you will enjoy it, maybe.
